• Not measuring the space in your new home – Moving to your new home and realizing that you do not have enough space for all your belongings might be a headache. So, prepare a plan to ensure that everything fits from the beginning.
• Not loading items appropriately in the moving truck– Before loading any items, keep in mind that ‘The first items in the truck will be the last items off the truck’. So, if you have things that you need for the first day at your new home, then make sure they are loaded last. Also, do not load fragile items first in the moving truck.
• Not unloading properly - Unload heavy items first, as it requires a lot of strength and energy, and also place all the boxes into the appropriate rooms while unloading. Most people overlook this and make their relocating process more stressful and hectic for themselves.
• Over packing the boxes – If you have filed every bit of volume of the box, then you cannot possibly fit anything else in it. • Assuming that moving yourself is easier and cheaper – Some people think that moving is easier and cheaper. But, keep in mind that moving is not a picnic; it requires a lot of skills for packing, loading and unloading your valuable belongings safely and correctly. Most people move themselves to save some money that is spent on hiring the moving company; it is not wrong but incorrect for those people moving for the first time.
